At JCMCS, we have developed a culture that promotes an injury-free environment and provides the safest workplace possible for our employees, subcontractors, clients who enter or who approach our construction sites.  Led by our Director of Environmental Services and Health & Safety, Charles Austin, our Safety Program entails all aspects of safety awareness from general policies, operating practices and procedures, to job-specific training, project planning and hazard analysis. Our obligation for a safe and productive project requires the understanding, commitment and action by every project team member. We continuously maintain a safety and health program conforming to the best practices and OSHA standards. At JCMCS, we believe that Safety can no longer be viewed as a priority which can be ranked in vertical order of importance, but it must be looked upon as a value which is inherent in every part of our operation. Our objective is a proactive program implementation that will reduce all safety-related losses to an absolute minimum surpassing the best experiences of operations similar to our own. Safety is to be “on the left side of zero”, managing prevention efforts instead of accidents.

JCMCS has put in place extensive policies, procedures, and incentives designed to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all of our employees, subcontractors, and customers.  Our goal on every job is Zero Incidents - to ensure that all work is completed safely, with appropriate tools, equipment, and methods as is implemented in complete compliance with OSHA, EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM385-1-1).  This goal always takes priority over scheduling concerns.
